Inland Foods
Regional distributorTuckerEst. 1977
Founded in Atlanta on 2 March 1977, when Joel Knox collected a shipment of Oregon salmon, Dover sole and rockfish from the Eastern Airlines freight terminal at what was then William B. Hartsfield Atlanta Airport and drove it to a restaurant in East Point. The company says it is now the largest seafood and specialty foods distributor in the Southeast, is 100 percent employee-owned, and runs distribution centers across the region from its Tucker headquarters. Alongside fin fish and shellfish it carries antibiotic and hormone free meats, game, poultry, cheeses, olives and oils. It rebranded from Inland Seafood to Inland Foods and sold its Houston and New Orleans divisions to Fortune Fish and Gourmet in June 2026 to concentrate on the Southeast.
